2022 Year End Review!

As the year comes to a close, we love to take a look back at the year that was before turning our attention to the new year. This year was filled with many wonderful moments and memories, from adding many new people to the team, to hosting several fun events, to listing lots of beautiful properties. Join us as we take a look back on the year that was 2022!

We started off the year welcoming Rebecca Racine to Ridgeline! Rebecca brought several years experience helping local families buy and sell as well as an incredibly positive energy to Ridgeline! We were so excited that she chose to continue and grow her career with us.

2022 marked our second anniversary as an independent brokerage. It was fun to take a look back on the stats of the last two years, from our 397 total homes sold totaling over $122 million (!!) in volume to seeing which town we sold the most in which was Essex! Stay tuned for the stats on our third anniversary!

The beginning of the year also saw the return of our snowman contest. Judged across several categories ranging from “Best Snow Creature” to “Best Dressed”, we received many wonderful submissions and loved seeing all the wonderful creativity!
The spring was particularly busy for us, with lots of great listings and exciting closings. The late winter through late spring was characterized by an unprecedented sellers market with strong demand and most properties going under contract at record pace.

We did host a fun client event at Essex Cinemas where we held a private showing for our friends and clients!

We welcomed Dan Holtz to the team in late April! With a strong entrepreneurial background and dedication to client service, Dan has been a wonderful addition to Ridgeline and we are so happy he chose to work with us!
We did find time amongst the chaos to pause and have a relaxing evening at Salt & Bubbles in Essex catching up and swapping stories from the field. If you have not visited Salt & Bubbles (located in The Essex Experience), we encourage you check them out! They have a great selection of wine and snacks, and a great shop to bring the party home.

In June we were thrilled to learn that Julie was nominated for “Best Real Estate Agent” and we were nominated for “Best Real Estate Agency” by Seven Days in their annual Seven Daysies contest. While we ultimately didn’t win, we were honored and humbled to be nominated!

June was also host to our inaugural “Ridgeline at the Ballpark” event where we hosted our past clients and friends at Centennial Field to watch the Lake Monsters! Despite a little rain, we had so much fun and are excited to bring back the event again next year.

In August we welcomed Ryan Spooner to Ridgeline! Ryan joined Ridgeline with several years experience as an agent in the area. We had heard many amazing things about Ryan prior to him joining Ridgeline, and we were so excited to have him join us!

In September we returned to Hacketts Orchard in South Hero for our annual apple picking event! We love love love this event and seeing everyone. This year we had great weather and our largest scavenger hunt ever!

September also saw the end of our sunflower contest. Each year we send our past clients and friends a packet of seeds to see who can grow the largest sunflower. This year the tallest sunflower measured over 14 feet!

In October we welcomed Melanie McAdoo to Ridgeline. She joined us from another firm and quickly wowed us with her lively spirit and fun energy. We are so excited that she chose to come work at Ridgeline!
We also spent a day in October volunteering with Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity at their build in Shelburne. When we arrived in the morning, the house was just a slab, and by the time we left, 3 of the 4 walls were up!

We celebrated Halloween by having a pumpkin carving party and bonfire at the office! It was fun spending the evening hanging out with each other, something that is often hard to do in our industry!
In late November we decorated a tree for ANEW Place’s annual Festival of Trees fundraiser. Held at the UMall, companies pick a theme, decorate a tree in that theme and put presents under the tree for people to vote on for a chance to win the tree and presents. This year our theme was “Farmhouse Christmas”!
Much of the last few months have been spent preparing for the next year. We all gathered early in December at our annual year end retreat to look back on the year and discuss plans for 2023. Stay tuned for exciting things!

Thanks for joining us as we take a look back at the year that was 2022, we hope you have had a great year too! 2023 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting year, we are looking forward to hosting several fun events and hope to see you at some point! As always, we are here to help you (or anyone you know!) buy or sell.
From all of us at Ridgeline, we wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2023 and beyond!

Thank you to our amazing clients!
