2021 Year End Review!

2021 was a record breaking year, both for Ridgeline and the real estate market as a whole. We saw unprecedented housing demand while still experiencing incredibly limited inventory (houses for sale). We hope that next year sees some easing in the market, but we expect the strong seller market to continue.
We hope you have a wonderful and safe end to 2021 and a great 2022. We were honored to help over 250 people buy and sell real estate this past year! Before we jump into 2022, please join us as we look back on 2021 in our annual “family holiday card newsletter”

At the beginning of the year, we decided to make the best of the long winter by holding a snowman contest! Broken down into 5 categories, we were delighted by all the inspired entries!

In February we were honored to welcome long-time local Realtor, Tracie L Carlos to Ridgeline! We have been so amazed by her dedication to her clients, and her countless charitable activities. We could not be more thrilled that she decided to join us!
Started late in 2020, our new agent mentor program had several graduates throughout the year. The program is designed to pair a brand new agent with an experienced agent to mentor and guide them through their first deals. We loved seeing Maranda Bessette, Silas Pierpont Hale, and Nicole Talbert graduate the program and start their real estate careers at Ridgeline.

In May we participated in Green Up Day throughout different parts of the state. We are so lucky to live in a state that has a holiday dedicated to keeping our state so beautiful!
In June we hosted a few ice cream events using the delicious local ice cream from The Scoop and Palmer Lane Maple. They both make some of the best ice cream around! We love when past clients are able to join us for these events and stay in touch.
July saw the addition of Katelyn Chevalier to the team. Joining us on the admin side, she dove right into large projects and ensuring our agents are getting the support they need!

We welcomed culinary champion and camping and outdoor enthusiast, Lindsay Kittell, to Ridgeline in July. Currently living in Middlebury, Lindsay is expanding the reach and expertise of Ridgeline to new parts of Vermont! We are so lucky to have her on the team!
We continued to welcome new faces in August with the addition of another long-time local area Realtor, Andrea Hossley! We have loved having her years of expertise and friendly energy around the office!

We also welcomed Amanda Headley to Ridgeline in August! With her attention to detail and incredible dedication to clients, we are very lucky that she decided to join us!
In September we hosted our annual apple picking event and scavenger hunt at Hackett’s Orchard in South Hero. The weather cooperated with us for the most part, and we had the best turnout we’ve ever had! This is one of our favorite events and we are already excited for next year.

The end of September saw the end of the sunflower contest. Another one of our favorites, we loved seeing all the beautiful flowers our clients and friends grew! The tallest flower, grown by a past client in Williston VT, was 13.5 feet!

In October, Kristen, Silas, and Brendan joined Martin Divenuti from NEFCU to play in the annual NVBR Golf Tournament to benefit Spectrum Youth and Family Services at Vermont National Country Club! Blair, Cody, and Dakota also volunteered at the event

We also joined Tracie in October to serve a meal at the COTS day station in Burlington. Tracie made an amazing meal while Dakota, Andrea, Blair, and Cody helped serve the meal.

In October we were also pleased to be asked back to sponsor the annual signathon led by Dave’s Ice Cream Social benefiting the Franklin County Area Cancer Network.
November saw the return of the Virtual Baking class! Taught by Janina from Red Poppy Cakery, we invited our clients to join us in learning how to make Apple Cider Donut Muffins, they turned out super tasty!
As the holiday season approaches, we are celebrating by participating in ANEW Place Homeless Shelter’s Festival of Trees. We decorated a tree, bought some gifts to go underneath, and now you can buy raffle tickets to try to win it (or one of the many other trees). The trees will be on display at the University Mall!

2021 has been eventful for the business, full of growth, and full opportunities to give back where we live. Thank you to all of our wonderful clients, family, and friends for helping us do what we do! We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you for being a part of helping our small company live out its vision in 2021 of always putting the client first, focusing on education, providing top-notch service, and thinking local.
Thank you to all of our amazing clients!

Wishing you a very Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
